This award, presented by Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network

Naples, FL—Aug. 17, 2026 — Sarah Smith, Senior Director at Alpine Supply Chain Solutions and Paige Kanode, Project Manager at Alpine Supply Chain Solutions were both named as recipients of this year’s Women in Supply Chain Forum Award. Paige won this award in the Workforce Innovator Category, and Sarah was honored in the Trailblazers Category. Presented by Food Logistic and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.

“This award isn’t just a way to honor females in supply chain. It’s a representation of progress, it’s a symbol of growth, and it’s a way to celebrate achievements of all women in the supply chain who continue to pave the way for the next generation,” says Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive and co-founder of the Women in Supply Chain Forum™. “Of the 300-plus submissions received, 70 of them were self-submissions, the highest number of self-nominated applications ever in the history of this award. And, 44 of the submissions received were from male counterparts, also the highest number of male-submitted applications to date. This year’s list of winners entails females making a difference in the supply chain, and I’m honored to share their journeys.”

Sarah serves as a trusted leader in warehouse management system (WMS) implementations, helping clients successfully navigate complex supply chain technology projects from both a project management and system functionality perspective. She works closely with clients, software partners, and internal project teams to guide implementations from design through go-live, ensuring projects remain aligned with operational goals, timelines, and budgets. Paige plays a critical role in bridging the gap between technology and warehouse operations. She collaborates with distribution center leadership, supervisors, IT teams, vendors, and frontline users to ensure new systems and processes are not only implemented successfully but also adopted effectively by the workforce.

According to Michael Wohlwend, Managing Principal of Alpine Supply Chain Solutions,

“Paige and Sarah are both essential members of our team, having expertise in project management and WMS implementation. They are both hard workers and are very passionate about what they do, and what they can provide for our clients. We are very grateful to have them as part of our team, and that they both received this award, which was much deserved and showcases their strengths in the supply chain industry.”
