SUCCESS STORIES
A global leader in climate-control technologies provides compressors, controls, and monitoring systems that support residential, commercial, and industrial HVACR applications around the world. Following a major corporate transformation and transition to an independent organization, the company recognized the need to modernize its supply chain technology to support future growth. With an aging warehouse management system and significant network changes underway, the organization partnered with Alpine Supply Chain Solutions to identify and implement a scalable, future-ready WMS strategy
The organization was relying on a legacy warehouse management system that was more than 20 years old and no longer supported modern warehouse operations or future growth. At the same time, the company was consolidating distribution centers and modernizing its supply chain, creating the need for a scalable WMS that could integrate with existing enterprise systems and support long-term business objectives.
Alpine Supply Chain Solutions led a structured WMS selection process, facilitating stakeholder workshops, evaluating business and technical requirements, and narrowing the field from eight vendors to three finalists. The team assessed each solution based on functionality, integration capabilities, scalability, and total cost of ownership, ultimately helping the organization select a right-sized platform that met its operational needs without unnecessary complexity.
The new WMS delivered a 30–40% cost advantage over comparable enterprise solutions while improving inventory visibility, operational efficiency, and system integration across the distribution network. The project established a modern, scalable warehouse management platform designed to support the organization’s supply chain strategy and continued growth for the next 15–20 years.
