The Road to Supply Chain Consulting: The Alpine Supply Chain Solutions Story

Share:

Alpine Supply Chain Solution’s founder and managing principal, Michael Wohlwend, was recently featured in an article by Shoutout Atlanta, where he shared his journey and insights about starting his own business in supply chain consulting. Here are some key takeaways from the conversation.

The Road to Entrepreneurship: The Genesis Of Supply Chain Consulting for Alpine Supply Chain Solutions

Michael’s decision to start his own business was influenced by both personal and professional experiences. He began his career in supply chain consulting with small family-owned firms, gaining valuable knowledge in consulting practices and client relationships. In 1999, after the birth of his first child, Michael began working with larger public software companies, where he spent the next 20 years expanding his expertise in various aspects of the supply chain industry.

The extensive travel and demanding nature of his global role led Michael to reassess his career path. In October 2017, he returned to his supply chain consulting roots by founding Alpine Supply Chain Solutions. This move was driven by a desire to balance his work and personal life while leveraging his industry experience to build a company that reflects his values.
