One minute you’re looking forward to the year’s big event, and the next you’re looking back and thinking, “Wow, it’s already over?” That’s exactly how we feel about ProMat 2023. Last month, we joined the manufacturing and supply chain community for a record-setting ProMat event. With an overall registration count of 50,924 and 1,051 exhibitors, the event featured 562,700 net square feet of exhibit solutions and over 150 educational sessions encompassing 1.2 million square feet at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
Team Alpine really enjoyed getting educated on the latest and greatest tech while connecting with customers and partners. And of course, we were thrilled to meet many new faces too! A highlight for us was having two customers join us to share their success stories at the show – Ecentria and School Specialty. Both organizations have worked hard to modernize their fulfillment operations to meet growing demand and were able to share valuable lessons with others attempting to do the same.
There were some really cool and innovative solutions presented at the show, two of which really stood out to us! Geek+ went above and beyond showcasing four new and improved offerings that really impressed:
- PopPick system
- P-800 system
- Four-Way Shuttle solution
- Intralogistics solutions
And we also enjoyed learning more about what OPEX® Corporation had to share. As a global leader in Next Generation Automation, they are dedicated to providing solutions for warehouse automation. During the show, they exhibited Infinity™ AS/RS, a goods-to-person automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) designed for flexibility and scalability in both throughput and storage.
Hot topics at the show included labor challenges, robotics/automation, and sustainability.
